is there any possibility that i can monitor remote linux services" Like squid/mysql is running or not?
I am using it for windows base system but no idea for linux.
Dude can monitor IP reachability, but AFAIK (maybe I’m wrong) it doesn’t have probes to actually check the service is alive and running (i.e. issue a test SQL query for example).
Not so sure about Squid, maybe a probe can be set up to request status page.
Dude can read snmp so if you are able to run snmp service on the server and create the necessary oids, then you can monitor by dude everything.
