Monitored Device Hardware Upgrade

Hello, All.

I have a question regarding hardware upgrades on devices monitored by Dude.

I’m running Dude 3.0Beta7 to monitor about 40 infrastructure points in my network. I recently did a hardware upgrade at one end point that was a RB133, and upgraded to a RB411.

My question is how to informe Dude of upgraded monitored devices. It appears that Dude retrieves the system architecture only when it’s first probed, and I’ve not been able to tell it that this particular device is no longer a mipsle, but is now actually a mipsbe architecture device.

Is there a way to manually change, or force Dude to re-probe the system architecture without deleting the node and recreating it manually (as well as the dependencies and links through it)? If I don’t change it in some manner, I am assuming that when I choose to upgrade the device’s software, the wrong packages will be uploaded and the upgrade just won’t happen.

Is this a bug, feature, or otherwise, and is my upgrade assumption correct or not? What’s the best way to resolve this?

I did some looking and searching on the forum, and didn’t see it, or wasn’t giving it the right search terms. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Right click on object and select Settings. From the general tab, make sure you have the Device Type selected. On the Services tab, make sure you have the services you want monitored selected. You can click the RED + to add more if you need to. On the right are a series of buttons. Click on Reprobe.
That should do it.
