Monitoring ethernet speed on RB

Hello.

Can somebody help me with advice on how to monitor ethernet rate (speed) on a routerboard?

It should be either 10, 100, or 1000. Look in the interface section of winbox and you can see what it is using there.

I am sorry. I think I did not make myself clear. I need to monitor it remotely so I can get an alarm if it drops from 100 to 10, for example.

I am using Nagios.

Do a snmpwalk to find the value then make a probe for your monitoring system.
Works for us with the Dude.

I’ve no experience with nagios. Look for snmp.
