I have a computer on my wireless network that I use as a backup/file server. I am currently backing up files from my wife’s Macbook. Running nload on the server shows incoming wireless traffic at an average rate of about 10-12 MBit/s. I would like to be able to monitor the traffic from the router using Winbox so that I can get an accurate idea of the bandwidth from all devices on the wireless network. However, if I look at the traffic graph on wlan1 in Winbox, it is only showing < 100 kbps on the Tx and much less on the Rx, as you can see in the attached image. I don’t see the traffic when using torch either. On the other hand, if I start streaming video from Youtube, it shows up in the traffic monitor. Is there a way to see wireless LAN traffic in Winbox, or do I have a fundamental misunderstanding of how it works?
