More on SR9 problems...

Seeing some wierd problems with signal take a look at the following screen shots:

This is when it’s operating normally

This is where it gets funky

This happens randomly throughout the day. Any ideas?

Background info:

It’s in a RB500 board w/ SR9 and SR5. SR9 has a 0dBi Omni, and the SR5 16dB RadioWaves 120 sector.

What is your noise floor when it happens? Interference may be your problem. You could try a cavity filter. It may help.

currently the noise floor is at -94.. but everything is normal right now.. I’ll see if I can catch it when its occurring

Does the performance of the links degrade when this happens (latency, bandwidth)? It’s odd as your transmit rates aren’t changing that much…maybe it’s just an issue with the drivers reading the card wrong?

we saw that on one of our routers the other day - exactly the same thing. Changed channels and all seemed to be ok. Noise floor was high when the problem occured (-75).

Our config is RB532 with 2.9.30.

Looking forward to some feedback here…

If I recall correctly bandwidth and latency didn’t seem to be effected. I was thinking the same thing regarding the drivers. I’m out of the office today so I won’t be able to test it again to confirm. When I get a chance to I’ll test it again to verify.

Do the issues resolve when you start pinging the different radios?
