More powerful 24v power supply for Powerbox?

We’re having issues with a couple of Powerboxes, the 24v 2.5A adapter provided isn’t quite up to the challenge. Feeding one Omnitik on a 170ft run, voltage is 22v or so getting to the Omnitik, drops to 17 when powering a single Crossroads client.

I’ve got a Powerbox that is having similar issues powering three 24v 0.5A radios, voltage is dropping to around 17v and the devices start power cycling. Confirmed they’re only pulling 150ma per device.

So far I’ve lowered transmit power on the radios but that is just a band-aid.

Is there a more powerful 24v adapter or possibly a 30-36v adapter?

Use better cables!

had these same exact problems and finally ended up just switching out all my powerboxes to the following:

What’s nice is it’s fed by a “beefy” 50v POE power supply, giving plenty of over-voltage to down-convert and give you a clean solid 24v!

This method is much easier than ordering a 30v DC power supply to try and comp voltage loss
