Morning All I can't access my mikrotik through winbox

Dear all,

if i can get any help am a beginner with mokrotik device, i cannot access the interface, i’m using Mikrotik SXT2 G-2HnD
when i’m doing a ping to the ip it’s replying, when ii want to access with winbow and error message appear
also i cannot access it throught the webfig app, please if someone can get me any help

What messages ? Please be precise.

Is this a brand new device, or is it used? It sounds to me like it has some services disabled. If its a used device, but you don’t need any of the existing config, try a reset.

What’s the error message? is it username and password? is it version issue. please can u do a screen shot ?

did you try to telnet port 8291, does it works?
You may have a firewall blocking this port and allowing the ping.
