move traffic stats from combo1 to ether1

We have the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ router/firewall/switch device.
I am performing the initial setup. My laptop is connected to ether1 - I do not have any sfp hardware so the 2 sfp ports are empty.

Interfaces side bar
Interface tab,
Traffic from my laptop to the MikroTik router makes the Tx and Rx counters on the Combo1 interface increment while it seems since I am physically plugged into the ether1 interface the Tx and Rx counters should be incrementing on the ether1 interface.

Is there any way to correct this as many of our administrators are remote and troubleshooting can always be not so fun with misleading details.
Thank you
Frank

BTW, I tried changing the interface combo1, Combo Mode: sfp parameters from auto to copper and sfp-alt with a reboot in between each change. No changes to the counters.

UPDATE:
front panel ports are labeled as Combo1 and Eth
Ether1 is the next port to the right.
My bad

Frank

wut
combo1 has nothing to do with ether1
you could rename it to ether0 to avoid confusion.
Are you sure you’re plugged into ether1 and not into the first ethernet port that’s labeled just ‘ETH’ ?

details!
If you’ve found a bug, report it.
LE: lol.

I don’t know if you have seen your device but combo port is different than eth1

Thanks guys, I was finally able to physically view the front of the router. Cleared up now AND it works a lot better now too!!!
Thanks again
Frank
