how can I move some elements between maps without creating them new?

currently there is no easy way for doing this, what particular elements do you want to move?
The sitaution is that the network is rapidly growing. So there is a need to make the map less complex by creating a sub map. Now I want to “cut” a network element structure from the complex map and paste it to the new map.
i would like this too !!!
This is a huge feature. Please add this to future versions
Maybe an “XML export” of a “Selection” that could then be imported into another map, this would also facilitate modular backup and the ability to split into multiple dudes.
XML-Export of selected items is a good idear …
the possibility of moving objects between maps would be great.
another sexy feature would be, if one object created on Map A can exist as a “shortcut” on Map B.
