Moving From VPN To Wireless Link

Hello All Newb here ,
Currently we have two separate buildings linked via a vpn but moving from vpn link to line of site ubiquiti devices.
Router 1 is the vpn host and has its own network and DHCP
Router 2 is the client connecting to R1 but also has its own network & DHCP

Both networks can currently ping eachothers devices without problem.

My question is what will I need to change when I move from VPN to Wireless link over Ubiquiti devices and using only one ISP connection?

Thanks & Sry I was not the one who setup this vpn, however I understand a little that the pinging is made possible via routing??

Can you please share all hardware included (especially routers involved) and number of clients?

To answer your question: it depends. You can switch this into on big network where you don’t have to bother about routing. If you want to keep current configuration, your routing has to be done over the wireless connection instead of the VPN. Why are you the one asking this question?

Hey, its been a very long time but

Currently we have two separate locations connected via router to router vpn with ipsec lt2p
each location has a 951g mikrotik router as its main router.

Each router handles its own network/subnet
and currently the two subnets are able to speak with one another.

What I would like to do is keep the networks separate in terms of subnet and keep two routers handling their own loads but without using the vpn.

Basically is it possible to treat this link like a switch and have the two routers not dhcp fight.
