MPEG2 or MPEG4 over Wireless Interface ?

Hy All,
I need help!!
In my office i have the complete topology for a real video streaming transfer.
In one side I have, the Analog cam that connects to the A/D converter, this element is connected to the Gateway, this convert the digital signal in IP packets y than trough Ethernet I have mi MT 522 that is bridging with another in the other site. This test is local but I have problems to see in another side a continuous image. I have a big latency (2 o 3 sec).
I have MPEG2 encoder, decoder and Gateway…

Any body can do this with perfect performance or any video stops? :frowning:
Can any teach me the best configuration for my wireless interface to do this ?

Thanks,

Mike

I’d swap for MPEG4, same overall quality and a smaller bitrate.

If quality is an option, see if you can lower the bitrate on your current setup.

What speed are you getting over your wireless link? signal, ccq, etc…

What is the bitrate of your stream?

You’ll always have latency, it takes processor time for the signal to get encoded/decoded, but a proper setup will not have pauses/buffering.
