Since EOIP reduces your MTU on the link you will probably have a lot of fragmentation. MPLS could solve this better, but if you have control over the link in between you could increase the MTU to support full ethernet frame for EOIP as well. Yes, the your routerboard model will support MPLS without a hassle.
As a last remark; a mpls + vpls link would need no more than 1526 with ordernary ethernet through the vpls and 1530 (with vlan tagged ethernet within the vpls)
Hi, i convert the wireless link to the MPLS with increase all the contacted interface (bridge, ether1, wlan1, vpls, mpls) to be MTU size 1526 (RB411 & RB411AH).
but, the ERP go through this link still very slow, but if i by pass and it run over the microwave everything is ok.
If ERP system runs over TCP, i guess it is. Try to adjust MSS, with mangle rule in RouterOS. This is more reliable and flexible solution, instead of MTU manipulation. Change it on the router that sits between the ERP and its clients.
