I have about 4 routers in the wireless backbone which i call metro-routers and have mpls enabled. I am using vpls for pppoe but the main issue is i have voip business customers which i want to prioritize. After a lot of reading i have found out the firstly with pppoe it is not possible to provide qos in the backbone so i will provide secure dhcp binding on the edge routers to the voip customers and also mpls exp bits in mikrotik don’t support qos switching, it just carry the qos information. The only solution that i am currently left with is TE tunnels for Voip from the core router towards all the 5 backbone routers. About TE everything is clear except that if i reserved 10mbps for voip and what if only 5mbps is used by the voice. will the remaining 5 Mbps can be used by pppoe users or that will be just reserved ?
