If for example you have a SXT LTE + SXT Lite2 on your tower, the MQS can’t provide enough power and the SXTs reboot constantly. Also, not everyone has 5V power available at their site, don’t want to carry a power pack, or don’t want to/can’t add 12/24V stepdown stuff in their enclosures.
I’m using a RBmAP2nD instead of a MQS since it accepts 12V input, but I have to to plug it in on-demand when I’m at the site as to not waste power. My suggestion is another MQS that sits between devices, powered via PoE only and had an on/off switch. When off, the MQS is not powered on but still allows data/power through the device. This way the MQS can remain plugged around the clock and doesn’t need extra power requirements. When visiting the site, one can flick the on switch, and access via the iPhone app without unplugging the devices, etc.
