MT 2 WANs

Hi,
One one location customer has CCR1009-8G-1S (6.42.1) with 20/20MBit internet access and it decited to switch to another ISP (higher speed, better terms etc etc).
So right now on eth1 is one isp and on eth4 is another . eth1=10.11.12.1/29 eth4=10.11.13.1/29

My question is: why WAN ip address is reachable from internet only on port with active default route? When i tracert ip on eth4 and internet on eth1 is active it stucks somewhere in isp jungle.
I can reach gateway of that nonactive port but nor ip on port.

i should be able to ping both ip-s regardless where internet connection is active or i am wrong?!

I hope that i managed to explain my question clear enough.
thx

I suspect you are actually reaching IP of ether4, but the reply packets are going via ether1 as that is the preferred route out and then gets dropped as it is coming / going via a different interface/IP.

You will have to configure the routing so that traffic coming in on ether4, leaves again on ether4 and the same for ether1

hi,
if i put default route via ip on eth1 all outbound traffic is going through eth1, ip on eth1 is pingable from internet but ip on eth4 not.
if i put default route via ip on eth4 all outbound traffic is going through eth4, ip on eth4 is pingable from internet but ip on eth1 not

maybe this explains better. my bad :frowning:

mmmmm, ill check that. thx

Check this, the last paragraph (starting with EDIT) puts all the above into the context of your case.
