MT Access Point with more than 2 antennas

Dear ALL,

I try to run an ACCESS POINT with 4 sectoral antennas.
But, I can not get it when I install the third antenna.
If I run the third, then one of the first or second antenna will disconnect.

All goods are coming from MikroTik.

What should I consider in implementing such thing ?
eg. all vertical antennas or must be different, distance of each antennas, etc.

thank you

Are all the radios on different frequencies?

And I think you should not use adjacent frequencies to avoid the “ACR problem” of radios interfering with each other

Stephen

  1. Should the antennas use different polarization ? Means : antenna1-horizontal, antenna2-vertical, antenna3-hor, antenna4-ver ?

  2. With difference of how many MHz should the antennas be set ?
Can I use 2 antennas with freq. 1 and 2 antennas with freq. 2 ?

  3. Antenna distance to other antenna ??

Not sure if different polarisations will help, others may know more.

You can’t use the same frequency on any of the 4 antennas

Use non-adjacent channels on adjacent antennas.

usually 20 MHz or more, but depends on wireless protocol and local regulations.

no, you shouldn’t. they will interfere.

polarisation will help somewhat, but a pair of antennas with same direction is needed. it’s therefore good for point-to-point-links only.

I do not recommend differebt polarisation, ‘cause You will have to routet your clients’ antas any time you want to change ap.
