MT Dude upgrading from x86 6.35rc1 to 6.36

Hi There,

I’m trying to upgrade from our 6.35rc1 to 6.36. I’ve added the file (http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.36/routeros-x86-6.36.npk) to files in the system, but for some reason the equipment don’t seem to upgrade. After rebooting from the command line, the files still appearing under files and nothing gets upgraded.

Can you anyone tell me the best way of upgrading and keeping my existing storage Dude files?

Thanks.

Pipa

Check log messages for reason why upgrade wasn’t performed.

Maybe a license problem. Check the license.

You can copy all the dude files out to backup them when dude is not in running state.

Thanks. I’ve added the a proper license for it and now is fully upgraded to 6.36. The only issue that I have now is that the Dude server is only accessible via Dude 6.36 client admin details only. For some reason, the “Admin” area is gone from the system.

Is there anyway to display and have it back, so I can access the service via other users?

Thanks,

Pipa

Unfortunately client version has to match the server version. But you can install multiple versions into separate folders to access servers with different versions simultaneously from one pc.
