MT error ''could not connect to console,..''

hi all
when i try to login to my router, and after i put my user name,[there is no password] i get this error ‘‘could not connect to console, try rebooting the router’’

i know that the old winbox does not work with 2.9rc5. goto the routers ip address and download the winbox from there.

I’m getting this as well on a 2.9.5 system. WinBox still works, but SSH & HTTP access no longer works. SSH gives the above-mentioned error, HTTP times out.

It seems to be memory-related. My memory as reported by WinBox: 124.7 MB total memory, 6 MB free.

PS. In case the MT guys/gals want a supout.rif: I do have one, but I’m not sending it yet since I was told that the almost total usage of the memory was completely normal… :sunglasses:

if the router is doing something, it is normal that the CPU and memory is being used. You like that your router does something, no? :slight_smile: When it will need additional memory, it will get it. As soon as this doesn’t cause noticable problems, you don’t need to worry

But we DO have a noticable problem here: The router is no longer accessible by HTTP or SSH when too much memory is in use… :sunglasses:

I’ve only been running it for about 12 hours now, but it seems the memory leak has been plugged in 2.9.6 :sunglasses:
