p2p.JPG

no you cant

Why?

you probably can. why not, kemal?

so i use this as i mantioned

he wants to have a coverage of 30km radius with a dish !! while at the same time trying to do PtP..

thats why..

I think you misunderstood him…

If he wants to use those antennas and PCs just to make a 30Km Point-to-point link, then there should be no problems.

I like your picture easy to understand and straight forward.. Anyways your link will be fine just as long as there is LOS (line of sight) between both antenna’s.. If Not LOS your going to have to break out the 900mhz equipment. -Jordan

Hi all,
I want to tell you that try if it success it will work, what you need to do is that make on PC as AP-Bridge and the another side for a client.
Try and post your result.

Hi kamal ,
Can u please tell us the cable distance between your x86-AP and Antenna on both sides ? Coz , I think this link establishment is depending on that .

Thanks

20m from my x86

It’s almost a given that you can get them to link… as far as throughput goes, that will be the real question. If you are using 20m you better be using at least LMR400 or equiv, 600 would be better. We have links using ~20m of 600 and 30km is very doable on them. The other question is the topology of the link you are looking at, fresnel zone issues will kill you if you have any. If you would provide GPS points for where you are looking at each site and what height the antennas would be at (I assume 20m) several of us here can plot it for you and give you a better idea of if it will work.
