This is my first attempt at runing MT on pc hardware. I’ve read up on quite a few setups.
the machine is a dell 8200…1.7ghz Pentium proc. 256ram.
mt 2.9.42 installed fine, and i log in locally.
I have 6 NICs here, ive tried them all seperatly and while 4 of them will come show under interfaces…i can never see them come up on winbox, nor does a /tool mac-scan ether1 show anything accept an occaisinal FF:FF:FF:FF mac addy…
i have several Router boards on this network so they would see it as well, and they do not.
what am i missing here? do i need to use a specific chipset?

EDIT: oh and i also try to run a DHCP-client on any of the NICs and it just stays on searching..
