Hello MT Forums,
My Name is Alex and i work for a WISP, Tnet Broadband Internet, LLC over in Lakeview, OR. Any who over the weekend I was thinking about MT scripting and a script that redirected people to a page. Basically I was wondering if you guys had/could or if its even possible, write up a script that triggers a page redirection such as the hotspot does when a customer does not pay their bill, but what this would be is it would be triggered by specific port(s) going down and back up such as loosing internet for a minute or so. Once it came back up, it would the then redirected the customers on that MT to a page that says “We are aware of the issue and our technicians are on the case to fix it”. Something along those lines. Then save it in a .txt file either on the MT or sent to an email (Email pref.) and in the morning we open that .txt file up and see what has gone down etc so we can address the issues we have a lot faster then waiting for a customer to call. That in turn would save us calls in the morning and us having to talk to customers as we are trying to get out of the door to go fix it.
I dont know if this is possible, but i was told that people do a lot of MT scripting and someone on here would be the man for the job. Of course I know there is a price for this as nothing is free anymore and I understand that completely! This would greatly help out our company. Let me know if someone or know anyone that could possibly do this.
Thanks,
Alex
