I Upgraded a 433 to v4 beta, got it to do what I wanted except for userman, so downgraded back to a stable version I know, 3.23.
Now the problem I have is it tells me that My Mikrtik software ID is going to expire and have to update licence in 24 hours…
so connect it to the internet and do the key upgrade and tells me that the key is already updated but still the same problem

your routerboard came with a key when you bough it. all you need to do is re-apply it. find the SoftID in your account, or ask seller.
Also look in the “files” menu in winbox, the key might be there
I’m a technician for miro distributions in South africa, I asked our logistics If they could get the key for me, other problem is I accidently (not quite just didn’t think) deleted the key file from files directory, so was maybe wondering if someone could get me the key script far that 433
if you write to mikrotik support, we will give you the key. you can get it from your mikrotik.com account if you have access to it.
I don’t have acces to the account, only our account ladys, I will ask them, and what must I give to them?, the current software ID (the V4 beta key) or can I give them a mac adress?
you need to tell the account keeper your current SoftID (1234-123 format).
would it be a problem if it is format 1234-1234 cause when U get the software upgrade to v4 beta the format changes
yes, but when you downgrade, it’s not in this format. is it?
it is format 1234-1234

Please contact mikrotik support and you will get a new key for this new softid. make sure you use v3.27

I sent a email to support@mikrotik.com this morning, haven’t heard anything from them yet,
But I curently have like 2 hours left before my licence expires

turn off the router to stop any timers! when it’s morning for you, it’s night in Latvia …
got your reply to late, it’s expired, I’m gonna try acces via serial and use netinstall will it work?
yes. that’s why you need to apply a free demo key to stop the timer, or shut it down.
hi, we still can’t find the software ID, we are one of your retailers here in south africa. MIRO DISTRIBUTIONS,
and it tells us that on our account the software ID does not exist.
Could you not maybe give me some advice and more steps that I can do to get the original software ID back?
Cause I cannot take this board back in stores with a Version4 beta.
