MT router hangs with many connections

Hello.

I am experiencing some weird problem a RB750GL router I use to load balance 3 WAN (10M/1M) lines. I have about 100 clients connected the LAN and the RB750GL is doing simple queue for everyone (1M/256k).

Lately I’ve noticed and clients have complained about slow internet (I know is a slow connection for people in the USA) and sometimes pages requests just hang and don’t do anything but, if I go to the firewall connections and delete all the connections, sometimes over 4000 of them, things get back to normal: Easy page browsing etc…

Don’t know what might be causing it to hang. I’m suspecting on the modems that might be saturated or something similar.

Please guide me to where I can find a solution to my problem.

I’d monitor the router memory usage. It seems like the router is running out of resources. Look at what clients have high connection numbers. They may be using torrents with too many connections.

Upgrade the 750GL to something like a RB450G with much more memory.
