MTCNA - a good understanding of TCP/IP

Hi,

I’m thinking about getting the MTCNA certificate. The outline says I must have “a good understanding of TCP/IP and subnetting”.

My question is if the stuff about TCP/IP and subnetting in books like

https://books.google.com/books?id=KuMnnQEACAAJ (CompTIA Network+ by Michael Meyers)

or

https://books.google.com/books?id=fULaygAACAAJ (CompTIA Network+ published by Microsoft Press)

is enough.

Thanks )))

Yes, but practice. When I took the exam about half of the questions were related to tcp/ip in some form or another. It really helps if you have several routers to play with.

Hello.
Try reading Todd Lammle book about CCNA, it really covers everything you need to pass almost every networking CERT.

Ok. Thanks, guys!

Thanks for hit, just taken from amazon. It looks very promising

No problem mate, im glad i can help.
Make sure you cover every lab on end of every chapter, it will help you grasp the basics under your belt.

Now, offtopic, but i need some clarification:How much is worth of MTCNA? I have my CCNA’s on routing and security, i thought about getting Mtik cert tracks, but in my country at least, i get the opinion that this cert is not as valuable as other vendors. Is it me or it is true-ish?
