Multicast Bridge

Dear Forum

I replaced an old and slow Cisco Switch with an Mikrotik 2011UiAS running RouterOS v6.43.1. The setup is very simple: One bridge called bridge and all copper ports (ether1-ether10) are member of this bridge. No vlans, no routing, just a switch. The setup works fine, except from multicast. I enabled igmp snooping in the bridge interface and i can see a multicast request at Bridge → MDB. On my router, which is directly connected to one of the copper ports (ether1) I can’t spot any multicast traffic. In my understanding pim or igmpproxy is only required in setups where routing is involved. To be on the safe side, I set them up anyway. Tested it without success and removed them again.

Do you have a tip for me? I can not change to a routed setup, this devices need to see each other on layer 2.

Thanks
