Hi guys,
I’m having a CRS326-24G-2S+RM which is connected to two CRS326-24S+2Q+RM (2x SFP+). I thought I go for an easy setup and set up the “uplink” to the two switches with bonding active/backup. At first, everything seemed to work fine but then I discovered that ipv6 had weird issues. Hosts connected to the same switch had no issues reaching each other (afaik I can tell) but hosts connected to other switches (and thus only reachable via the “uplink”) were randomly failing. Doing a lot of tcpdumps etc. it seemed multicast packets were sometimes dropped and thus NDP wasn’t working properly. After I removed the bonding and made a simple direct connection (only one link active at a time, the other disabled, otherwise I’d have a loop) everything seems to work fine.
Has anybody else encountered that issue? Is it even a known issue? I also checked the CPU load and it was only about 5%, so no overload of the device.
Corin
BTW: I’m using a couple of tagged VLANs, in case that matters somehow…
