multicast over VPN

I have an application that uses multicast, that i would like to be able to use over a VPN connection.

I have a Mikrotik 750 on one end and just a regular Windows client on the other end:

Server APP(multicast)—RB750----//Internet\----Modem–Windows Client

Is it possible to use EoIP without to having a mikrotik router on both ends? Don’t know if there is any windows vpn clients that support EoIP.

EoIP is Mikrotik’s proprietary protocol and does not have clients for windows.
Multicast can be forwarded over any type of tunnel, so you can create PPTP (or any other tunnel that windows supports) to the router.

Can you elaborate, or show an example of multicast being forwarded over, say a pptp tunnel?

-tp

Would be really nice to see an example how to make multicast being forwarded over a pptp tunnel.
Between MikroTik → Windows client.

I tried to bridge my lan interface with the pptp interface on my rb750. But it didn’t work, and I also got some strange problems with my dhcp-server failing.

I am sure someone has managed to do this , but I guess i’m just to stupid
