Multicast traffic problem, IPTV Artifacts using RB2011

Hello,

My configuration:

DSL modem with ports 1-Data, 2-Data, 3-Video, 4-Video

port 1 from the modem connected to Ether 1 Gateway on Mikrotik with PPPoE connection for Internet, port 3 from the modem connected to the LAN part of the Mikrotik, port 4 from the modem connected to IPTV reciever in my house)

Mikrotik RB2011UiAS-2HnD
(Mikrotik supply’s internet, gives DHCP adreses to computers and blocks DHCP for IPTV recievers so that they get IP from IPTV server.)

8 port Switch where other devices are connected.
Switch is connected on Mikrotik Ether 2 port

My operator sends IPTV signal by using seperate ports on the modem just for video, not like other operators where they send all traffic, (internet and IPTV on one port). One IPTV port from modem is connected to IPTV reciever and the other one is connected to the Mikrotik LAN port, so that i have Multicast traffic in my home network that my friend 3 km away can watch IPTV and use internet (he is to far for all operators so i offered him my connection). We use 2 OpenWRT routers for this, using WDS.

The problem…

IPTV stream have artifacts in picture when source of the picture (port 3 on modem) is connected directly to Mikrotik on one of its LAN ports. If i change the situation and connect port 3 from modem (IPTV) into Switch directly and computer’s and WDS link to a friend to Mikrotik the situation is the same.

However if i connect IPTV source (port 3 from modem), computer’s and WDS link to a friend directly to Switch then everything works fine with no artifacts at all. Processor use on Mikrotik is the same in all situations, around 45-60% for 2 IPTV stream’s, and i can see how much traffic is is going through network.

My question here is, why there are artifacts in picture when IPTV is connected directly to Mikrotik? If i open WinBox and list Interfaces with traffic monitoring the artifacts in picture get even worse.

Since IPTV is not comming into my network together with internet i also cannot use IGMP proxy to try if there would be any difference and IGMP snooping does not exist on MIkrotik.
