Multiple AP Setup Question

I have 3 AP’s. each one has 2 radio’s. I want to setup a Hotspot on the main ap (we’ll call it AP1). I want to have the other 2 AP’s with different SSID’s, but authenticate back to the main AP1 for user information. This is a close proximity layout. The AP’s are 300 Feet (About 90 meters) from each other.

AP1: RB 333 - main ap. has the internet connection and hotspot info.
Has first radio into a 9Dbi Omni Antenna - SSID - MAIN - WDS Disabled
Has second radio into a 9dbi directional - WDS - SSID: LINK - bridge

AP2 - RB532 - Secondary AP
Has 1 Radio into a 9Dbi Omni - SSID - Secondary-AP- WDS disabled
Has second radio into a 9Dbi directional - WDS Dynamic - SSID:LINK - wds slave

AP3: RB333 - Third AP.
Has 1 radio into a 9Dbi Omni Antenna - SSID: Third-AP - WDS Disabled
Has second radio into a 9dbi directional - WDS Dynamic - SSID:LINK - wds slave

I have a bridge on each unit with both wlan interfaces in it. WDS is disabled on the main radio and WDS dynamic is enabled on the second radio for the back haul on each unit. I can get AP1 and AP2 to talk, but AP3 doesn’t seem to auto-connect via WDS.
I don’t want to do WDS on the main radio’s. I want 3 distinct SSID’s and Frequencies on each AP. I want to use the second radio in each unit for the back haul. I want all traffic to be routed through AP1 and use the hotspot info on AP1 to auth all internet traffic from all 3 AP’s.

I was also under the impression that running WDS on the same antenna as the hostpot would make the backhaul half duplex, that is why I added the second radio specifically for the backhaul WDS. I wanted Full duplex on the AP antenna and full duplex on the backhaul to AP1.

What am I missing? Let me know if you want me to post more information. Please don’t tell me to RTFM. I have and I’m kinda stuck on this one.

Thanks a bunch!!

Figured it out. Just had to set all the backhaul Wireless cards to WDS-SLAVE. Once it did that, everything came to life!

you can use ap-bridge in your main AP insted of using only bridge, because bridge mode supports only one client at a time.
