Multiple CAPs with one SSID

Dear,
I have a CAPs for more years, each with own SSID.
Now, I want set old capsman with CAP lite (3 pcs) and only one shared SSID, in my house, each CAP for one floor.
If I will go with some wifi device from one floor to second floor and signal from one AP will be weak, device will connect automatically to other CAP with same SSID and credentials.
How can I set this up in the old capsman?
Very thanks.

What device will you be using to run capsman controller ?

Basically what needs to be done (fine tuning possible afterwards):

  • setup capsman controller
  • reset cap device to caps mode
  • done

Main router is RB2011.
I have 3 pcs CAP Lite, where I want merge 3 SSIDs to one (old capsman)
and 1 pc of CAP AX, with own SSID, no change (new capsman)

All devices has the same version of ROS 7.16.2

You can just follow the documentation:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/ROS/pages/1409149/AP+Controller+CAPsMAN

If you install the wireless package on the RB2011 (as far as you haven’t yet), you will be able to run two CAPsMAN’s: the old and new version.
In the link above you can see how to configure the old CAPsMAN (that you need for the cAP Lite), the documentation of the new CAPsMAN (for the cAP AX) can be found here:
