Multiple connection 2 network same time !!

Hi,

I have a SXTsq 5 Level 4 and i wanna know what i need to connect at the same time with 2 networks ?

If you want to have your SXT to be station (not AP but client) for both networks, then it’s not possible.

The reason: one WiFi radio can only use one frequency channel (or a few, but one is control channel) at a time and if device is station, it needs to follow channel changes as mandated by AP. So theoretically it could connect to two APs at the same time, but those APs would have to use same channel setup which is highly unlikely.

What can be done is that SXT is station connected to one AP and act as AP for another network (by configuring slave wireless interface and set AP on that slave device … master device has to be station). Doing this, however, will degrade performance of wifi AP …

Well the first option is perfect for me, knowing that’s not ideal can I assume for interference and also affect the bandwidth could be this the principal problem ?

It’s a tutorial talking about things how can I set up…
