Hi guys,
I’m using RouterOS v 7.1 beta 3, the latest release on RBD53iG-5HacD2hnD.
I tried to restore from my daily backup, but it was corrupter, no error message All backups are on the board in the file menu and I found that only one is working correctly.
All backups are almost the same size.
Has anyone experienced this issue and how to fix it.
Is there anything I can do to restore my configuration from my backups.
I use export to preserve configuration, don’t rely on backups on beta. I don’t think you can restore, no utilities to read backup file available.
Hi,
Is there any way to check and repair the backup file? It’s password encrypted, however I’ll be lucky if there is something I can do.
On the other hand, with this issue is there a possibility of file system issues / bad memory blocks?
P.S. can you please advise the proper way to export my configuration?
Kind Regards,
Nikolay
Maybe Mikrotik support can help, I don’t know.

It’s an issue of beta firmware, not hardware. I faced into non-restoring backups too, on a new Chateau router.

From terminal:
/export file=backup1
. Export function was fixed in 7.1b4 (no public release yet), on 7.1b3 it just hangs.
