Multiple cottages sharing internet: bridge? wds? route?

Hello,

Several cottages located close to each other would like to share a satellite internet connection. I’ve attached a diagram which shows the basic layout and equipment we have available to us, a combination of surplus and new Mikrotik equipment on order.

Each of the cottages would have one or more client laptops connected via WiFi to their a RB411AH access point. Each access point would be wired to a SXT Lite 2d, which would be pointed at the SXT G-2HnD located at the cottage with the satellite Internet connection (which also needs to have it’s own WiFi AP for laptops at that location).

The end goal is that all laptops at all of the cottages can access the Internet.

So how to set this all up? WDS? Bridged? Routed? Something else? Should I use the Quick Setup feature and just have my SXT Lite 2s as CPE and the G-2HnD as an AP, or should I configure everything manually? Any suggestions or links to relevant threads or tutorials would be appreciated, as I’m not sure how to proceed with this.

Thank you,
Ken C.

I think this setup can work.
If you get familiar with the MikroTik products, you will come to the conclusion that is is better to configure the devices yourself and not need the QuickSetup.

So what would be the recommended way to set this up? Bridged looks easier than routed to setup, but I don’t fully understand the pros and cons of bridged versus routed. I see mention of L2 forwarding, but don’t know if that affects what i’m trying to do.
