Multiple MT problem

Hey Ya’ll,

Ok, kinda complicated, but here goes…

Here’s the basic layout of our system. An osx86 Mikrotik that acts as our T1 interface. (Has a Sangoma CSU/DSU T1 Card in it) attached to that is a RB532a, which acts as our Radius controller. Attached to that is our Canopy AP which Broadcasts to Canopy Subscriber Modules that each have a Mikrotik RB133 and a wifi card acting as an individual hotspot. I have a remote access enabled Windows PC that is attached to the network, so even from a remote location, I can operate as though I’m on the LAN. My problem is, I need to be able to use WinBox to log into each of the RB133’s and make modifications or monitor them, but try as I might, I can’t see them unless I’m actually plugged into them or on them via wireless. I think it might have to do with the masquerade rule, but I’m not positive.

I’ve tried a variety of things, and I think the solution lies in an eoip tunnel from our x86 MT to each of the HotSpot installations, but once again, I’m not sure. Anyone ever deal with this?

Also, I know I could have my main x86 mikrotik handle the Radius stuff, but we also have customers who are direct customers with their own CPE, and I can’t mix and mingle the two. Any ideas?

is this a routed or bridged network , yu wont be able to see the 133s on a routed network unless they have public ips or you have a route to them and you have a spot to access them on that route, plus your going thru the canopy i have heard ther is some issues aka a lil extra config to be done to be able to see your 133s thru the canopy. Im not familar with that though, you should search the forum for canopy clients.

Thanks nate, I hadn’t even thought about creating a route to them. The canopy, should be just like an ethernet switch with REALLY long cables… could someone post an example of a route I could add to the RB532a to allow management of the 133’s? It’d be a big help.
