Multiple RouterOS upgrade through Dude, its possible?

I use 3.0b8, and my network its very big. I want to discover wich Mikrotiks have an old version, and if its possible upgrade them to 2.9.51..

After an hours of discover, i can see the version of some MKT, in devices->RouterOS but i can not see the version of some ones (“auth failed”).

Is there any way to say to the Dude a list of passwords to try when makes the auth? and then make the automaitc RouterOS upgrade?

Many thanks

yes, you need to enter the router’s password in the device settings. then it will show you all RouterOS info

Thks normis, i’ll find later. And then ist possible to upgrade all automatic? or i need to do one by one?

When i click to the “Upgrade” button, it seems that doesn’t do nothing and nothing apears on the screen..

Thanks again

  1. Add packages to menu “Files”
  2. Configure passwords for all RouterOS devices
  3. Go to “devices” menu, click on the “RouterOS” tab to see all of them. You can then select groups of routers, and click the Upgrade button.

Many thanks Normis,

i’ve founded all you say, but a big problem for me is to say the password for each device?
is there any way to say the auth password for all MKTs? because all them has the same..

Regards

select all your devices on the map (with the mouse), right-click and choose settings. you will be able to set the user/pass for all

:sunglasses:

Sorry. I din’t think with this, i’m very newbiee. I’ve tried and of course it works..

Now my problems is because the network is very big (5.000 nodes), the dude is allways generating a lot of traffic. I’ve tried to select Mikrotik (in device) and RouterOS (in service) only, when discover. But still collapse the connection, if you malke a netstat -n in the PC server wich runs dude the list is endless..

For me will be sufficient if the dude makes two probes for day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon and see if the nodes are green or red..

Many thanks

click on the settings button above the map, you can configure how often Dude will poll

ok its where says default,
how often is default in the three cases: test, excedeed, down count?

Thanks again

The other settings on the top left… on the polling tab, probe interval:…
