I have a v3 Mikrotik router setup running multiple VLAN’s on a single physical port. This is connected to a Managed Switch with the VLAN’s setup on the switch so there are several ports for each VLAN:
Port 1 = VLAN 1,2,3,4 Trunks
Port 2-9 = VLAN 2
Port 10-19 = VLAN 3
Port 20-29 = VLAN 4
Etc…
Is there anyway I can have multiple physical trunk lines to the router to handle more traffic? Since all the traffic between all the VLAN’s must go through the single trunk line to the router, and then back through that same line to the switch, it can get congested.
I don’t want to have seperate trunk lines for each VLAN, I want multiple lines that all carry data for all VLANs at the same time.
Is that possible? Here is the current setup:
Router ------------ Managed Switch TRUNK
VLAN 2------------ LAN NETWORK 2
VLAN 3------------ LAN NETWORK 3
VLAN 4------------ LAN NETWORK 4
Here is what I want:
Router ------------ Managed Switch TRUNK
|---------------- Managed Switch TRUNK
VLAN 2------------ LAN NETWORK 2
VLAN 3------------ LAN NETWORK 3
VLAN 4------------ LAN NETWORK 4
