We are deploing a voice picking solution with wireless handhelds at a custommer, only a other company is doing the wireless lan. With MikroTik AP.
Wireless Setup:
-AP type: MikroTik with 2 B/G radios.
-Antenne: type Canopii C4212 120 degrees sector antenne
-AP are using WDS
-All the AP are connected to the lan ethernet.
-Sector antennas from 1 AP are mounted side by side
-AP use the following channels 1,3,5,9
My Question About the setup:
Q1: When you use WDS is it allowd to use channel 1,3,5,9? Normal you use channel with no overlap like 1,6,11.
Q2: When you use WDS do you need only 1 channel?
Q3: When you use WDS and MikroTik AP with to 2 B/G radios. The other company Say they work like 1 big radio?
Q4:With WDS a wireless client connect to a AP when it roam’s to a other WDS AP the client do not need to authenticate. this work with WEP but does did work also with WPA TKIP?
I do not know any thing about WDS I read multiple topic and i use google. Can any answer my questions?
