I have setup a transparent bridge linkinking 2 LAN’s and has been working well. One of the router antenna’s is configured as an AP. I now want to create a multipoint connection via an omnidirectional antenna. I was thinking of reconfiguring the router antenna from an AP to a station and configuring the omnidirectional with the same settings as that of the router antenna (AP) before the reconfig. Will this work? Basically, I want to add another LAN. Please help. Thanks.
It will work, but you have to make some modifications to your settings.
You can bridge the LAN and Wifi interface only if the WLAN is in AP mode. On the client side, it is possible, but it does not work.
You should implement EoIP, and get fully functional bridges.
Or, if you use Atheros based cards, it is possible to use WDS.
It`s up to you what method you will use
