Hi there.
I am trying to build a large outdoor wireless network.
There is a central AP on a Hill nearby, and 2 locations connecting to this (at the moment).
Other sites will connect in a similar fashion to the central site or one of the subsites.
I can’t get IP traffic to pass correctly from Site1 to Site2 via the central AP.
Site2 - 192.168.90.3 (on the bridge interface) - AP Bridge (WLAN1)
|
SSID: Site2
|
Central - 192.168.90.2 (on the bridge interface, both WLAN’s are a member of the bridge)
- Station (WLAN1),
- AP Bridge (WLAN2)
|
SSID: Site1
Site1 - 192.168.90.1 - Station (WLAN1)
We are using 802.11n so can’t use WDS as we have read this is slow.
All AP’s have been upgraded to 4.4
From my laptop at Site2
Can ping 192.168.90.2 + 90.3 (Site1 and Central)
Can’t ping Site1
From Winbox at Site1
Can ping Laptop @ Site2
Can ping Central
From Winbox at Site2
Can ping Central
From Winbox at Site1
Can ping Central
So it appears that the problem is somewhere on the central AP.
Any ideas will be very welcome.
I have attached my exports for your reference.
