English or Mandarin ?

http://mum.mikrotik.com/2010/CN/info

Official language CHINESE =)

p.s. only $22? %)

Damn, I was hoping for a trip to China but my poor Mandarin would limit me to only having conversations about farm animals, fruit, families and night market food.

I have heard that China has the largest MT user base, unfortunately only a handful have licenses.

Hi MT..
If possible beside the MUM, Mikrotik also can consider to have a vacation trip for whoever join the MUM?

he he…

 Guangzhou, welcome everybody, I am a Guangzhou native, welcome to my hometown. If it is needed, I volunteer as an interpreter and guide you all to travel Guangzhou city,to appreciate a city which has thousand years’ culture and history. and visit the development of socialism for decades.
But my english is not very good, I just have enthusiasm and an amateur in English…

wow, I didn’t know that you are from Guangzhou  It would be great if you could post about the MUM in some local forums, because there are not a lot of Chinese users here. We need to spread the word, so everyone knows about this event, and can come. The more people, the more fun

Did you ever consult with the agency of china? Why you chose GZ to hold the meeting? I am just a fresh hand and an amateur of Mikrotik, so I think I can’t offer an professional suggestion, but as far as I can known, there is very few people use Mikrotik’s product in GZ.Because the ISP in China is monopolized by the government,so not only in GZ,even in China, very few people use Mikrotik, just some amateur like me use it as a hobby.

I have seen Chinese forums with thousands of users, surely some of them live near Guangzhou  Maybe it’s not that bad. We have some good customers in your country.

Guangzhou is a good location because it’s a travel hub (we can easily travel there), and many technology companies also there.

“Guangzhou is a good location because it’s a travel hub (we can easily travel there), and many technology companies also there.”---------If you chosen GZ to hold a meeting base on that argument that you are correct,GZ is one of the most wealthy and most developing city in China,as I mentioned before,I am not a professionor of internet technology, so my view just merely of reference. and I will try to post this news in local forum.
By the way,the price of adsl in GZ is the most expensive in China, even far more expensive than the price in Beijing(capital), and the people of GZ who using the adsl also the largest in China, and China have the number one figure of the net citizens in the world, far more than USA,but all of these are monopolized by the government, and the local government has a strict supervision of internet,if you can keep a good relation with the authorities, then you’re promising.
And GZ’s government and all GZ’s citizens are all busying about decorating the whole city to prepare and to welcome the incoming of 2010 East Asia Games, like what we had done in welcoming 2008 Olympic games two years ago,and then you will see a city which is beautiful, easeful, peaceful, blissful and promiseful… Let’s preview.

i wish i can go there  how about in the philippines no MUM?

Thanks, Michael12345! Did you register yourself already for the MUM? Remember, it’s free!

I haven’t register in MUM yet, since I am just an amateur,so I fear that I havent’t eligibility to register.Do you have agency or staff member in GZ to arrange the GZ’s schedule?

everybody can register to come to the mum! there is no qualification, even people with no mikrotik knowledge must come to the mum, so they can see what mikrotik products can do! yes, we have a company who is helping us to organize: http://training.edcwifi.com/

I would be very grateful if you could post this into the most popular chinese routeros forums. make it clear that registration is free of charge on our website, and that everyone should go. it’s an open conference, nobody will ask you what you know  just talk, see presentations and have fun.

I found that there are three website in China are discuss soft router,no one in GZ. One is your deputy in Sichuan, and its website is already flaunting the MUM message, and the other two are still not yet,and they are not only discuss Mikrotik, but also talk about smoothwall, Ipcop and so on other soft router.
And one of them is pretty influencing in soft router. If I register to banner the MUM,maybe is little useful,I think if you invited and pay little fees to advertise is worthy, and they maybe willing to come to GZ to attend the MUM.and I will volunteer to act as a liaison to communicate with them if you like.

Since china started reform and opening to the world in 1978,its economy has succeeded in growing at an average annual increase of 6% for more than 20 consecutive years, accompanied with the publication of National Economy Report of 2009 just several weeks ago, the GDP of China has breakthrough 5126 billion $,overtake Japan first time, place in second in the world, only inferior to USA.
China now holding the largest population and being the fastest developing country in the world, full of chances and opportunities, divert your focus onto China, wisely in my opinion.

Since this is the first time Mikrotik ever hold in China, less people known the products of Mikrotik, some even didn’t use it at all, much less interchange technich. So I think that this MUM should focus on influences in the users of China rather than talking technich, maybe the name change into “2010 User Experience conference” is more proper, MuM offer an opportunity to let the users exchange their joys of using Mikrotik. My view is merely reference.

Regarding Mikrotik in china, the market is not big YET, but I do believe, it will increase in short time.
Maybe ISP is controlled by government, but whats the problem, the market is still there and internet user still growing, and the most important thing, they do not blocking their self not to use mikrotik hehehe, they already starting to buy some mikrotik equipment for a start.

Also many Internet Bar, university, and some country site at west and north of china.

we also have a training starting with MTCNA, and will also make future training at other city on china.
I am very sorry, our Chinese web are still on renovation.

Support our goal to make mikrotik not expensive, and easy to use in china region.

see you at MUM

The most difficult thing in china is, many mikrotik forum are being held by a company behind it, and the company have their own interest.

we will try to approach as many of them in the time being hehehe, but I think a few of them also already putting MUM banner at their official web (i guess mikrotik already approach them also).

I am really appreciated if you want to share an idea how to advertise the mum better?

IMHO : technical and enjoyment when using mikrotik are similar. But after tell the ppl the “kind” of enjoyment in using mikrotik, they should also show the ppl, how to make it possible although not in detail

I hope to join to MUM China.
I’m Korean and I can’t speak or understand chinese laguage.
What you guys think wether I can still enjoy MUM China or not?

If anyone encourage me to join MUM China, i will be there.
(fortunatly, I can using my air milage.)

one more thing. I suff mikrotik china page which operated by some chinese company(?).
On that forum. I found many aticle about cracked ROS 2.9.x and also linked download files.
Maybe it just operated by someone? or Official Mikrotik distributor?
(surely i used Goole translate service to English)
(and I don’t have any intention to blame or low estimate of China, I also useto enjoy ilegal copy of some very very expensive softwares. )
Jin.
