Normis, “QRT G” is a dual pool antenna?

It would be perfect in a “23dB” “5Ghz” version. Is that possible?
qrtg.png

when you will show us the new Routing Engine?

it is MIPSbe

Then it’s either not Scorpion-based or QA chose to use the nickname again for another (Not yet official?) architecture - which would mark the first time (afaik) that a vendor does so.

my guess is - Atheros had this in works when Qualcomm acquired them. For us - nickname just stuck.

Good idea! I just hope for them they didn’t pay $3.3bn just fro some naming rights

It is not ARM based. Atheros Scorpion is Mips-be, QCA9558, more info:

How much will cost mAP? I was waiting for product like this! It’s great news. but could You tell please what price should we expect?

Is the QRT G going to be just plastic like the SXT/SEXTANT/OmniTik/912G Outdoor or is it going to have some sort of RF Shielding? That has been the main obstacle preventing me from pursuing the Routerboard’s integrated radios.

Getting problem, error “stream not found”.

Normis, which CPU does have CRS?

RB953GS-5HnT will have 3 chain 5GHz wireless, does that mean that this will be 802.11ac ?

Will CRS be able to deliver “Wire Speed” on all ports so it can be used as a “Coreswitch” in a bigger network?

Is there any limitations in the chip how much it can process effectivly?

Will it run SwitchOS or (preferably;) ) RouterOS?

And most important: When will it be available??

No, according to link provided by Normis:

The new reference platform features the QCA9558 dual-band, 3-stream 802.11n system-on-chip (SoC)

CRS runs RouterOS, and will have new Switch related settings. It will be wire speed because, well, it’s a switch

CRS is like RB911 with a smart switch attached, so CPU is like RB911

Can CRS work as 24 port router and that he’s not used as switch? Will ROS see all 24 ports?

have you ever used switching in other RB products? RB2011? RB951? RB751? RB450? etc

CRS will have similar implementation - only with 24 ports and with some additional features.

Also as Normis stated is 2-in-1 device (RB911 + manageable switch), so IF not used as switch total trougput will be limited to 1Gbps full duplex

What about OS?. SwOS or RouterOS?

I hope that we will see a little better processor in CRS, in some close future. It doesn’t have to be like the one in CCR serie but 1 GHz or 1 GHz dual core would be perfect for our FTTB project.
