dns.png
Hi, I’ve noticed that my network client receive 3 DNS from *tik router (1 ip router address 2 isp address 3 isp address ).

I’ve set “use peer dns” on Wan interface

thanks

good job

Well done.

Very efficient config

do you think is it better this configuration or only ISP dns ?

is it possible to change the order to have the third DNS as Router IP ?

gianry,
you evidently have not noticed that the previous replies contain (some) sarcasm.
You did not provide a configuration, only a (non-understandable) snippet/screenshot and a very partial description of the settings you used.
If you want some sensible replies you should post your configuration:

And also having an actual question might help.
DNS IP’s are public, no need to edit/mask them, the third octet of yours is - let me guess - 28.

I asked if it is good solution to have DNS server on the MikroTik router or it is better that any client receive the ISP dns.

I don’t think it is necessary the complete router configuration.

Well, initially you only provided statements, only later you asked the questions, which however, without context, can only be answered as “it depends”.
The DNS server on Mikrotik is essentially only a cache (for the public DNS records), but if properly configured and depending on the usage of the network can make it a little bit faster, and if you have “local” URL’s using its static DNS entries can be very useful on a network.

I don’t think it is necessary the complete router configuration.

Yep, but at least the related snippets would have helped.
BTW without a complete configuration the holistic nature of Mikrotik configuration is often lost.
