My own ASN (with my IP's) with ISP's IPs too

Hi,

I currently have my servers in a datacenter / isp that gives me it’s own IPs to use.

Now, I must place my own router in the provided link, in order to use my own IP addresses in conjuction with the prefix that the datacenter / isp provides me. So I will use datacenter IP’s + own IP’s on same link.

In order to use everything on the same link, I should place my router in parallel to my servers that currently use my datacenter/isp’s IP’s and I should connect my new servers that will use the new IP’s behind my new router.

Is there any way to place my router above all the servers, including those that use the IP’s granted by my ISP? I mean some way that those IP’s from my ISP bypass my router and thus can use in the same server with the same network card an IP of my ISP and an IP of my ASN.

I have a Mikrotik Cloud Core Router 1036-12G-4S-EM

Thanks!

Hi,

What i would suggest is to also install a switch in the rack.

Connect all your severs to the switch.

Then setup a BGP session to your provider from the router and announce your ip space.

You should be sorted then.

Check with your isp. Ours will allow us to advertise their ip space on our asn.
