I asked a question last week about v6 to v7 migration , got one answer but now I dont find the post at all - what is the issue ?!
In all cases i repeat my question , i am looking to replace my old router with a v7 only router .. would the migration be feasible or should i have to reconfigure everything again ?

They had a power failure this weekend. Some post are missing because of that.
And V7 depends. Basic features are a go. BGP, OSPF and routing in general is different from V6 in regard to syntax. Some things are not feature complete. So your mileage may vary.

Honestly, I think Fresh Config is the best way to go.
Why?
1 - CHR with existing certificate ( I removed all of them before applying the Let encrypt CLI ) Still could not verify the new certificate. After reset with a default config, the CLI works perfectly.
2 - HAP lite Some firewall rules were missing after an update.
3 - RB2011UiAS 100% CPU usage after an update. Reset with default config did fix the issue.
and again there were some cases that an update that did not affect any performance or incompatibility.
Fresh config it is then .. would be a good opportunity to train some fresh members
