Same issue here

Yes, down for me as well

Same issue

IMHO It would be much more professional if MikroTik would use their own main DNS servers (mimas.mt.lv and moon.mt.lv) for resolving the mynetname.net domain.

Currently mynetname.net domain DNS is forwarded by some cheap reseller web hosting (resell.biz) + kissthenet.net as intermediary. This seems totally unnecessary.

This time though the resell.biz is not at fault as DNS servers being non-responsive are ns1.kissthenet.net and ns2.kissthenet.net which are MikroTik hosted servers.

I also have this problem. I think it’s time to go back to fixed IP addresses.

It’s back.

It’s insane that the outage is now almost 1.5hrs (based on my monitoring system) and we still aren’t getting any official information of what’s going on, some people might be totally cut off from their networks by this!

Edit: Seems like it’s back up now, however still it can’t happen that often that it just gets a such long outage.

My monitoring also indicates that the failure occurred around 9 am

still remember the last time this was down, when some one forgot to pay renewal

Let me get my calculator. Down for < 1,5h. Still an yearly uptime of 99.983%. For a free service. or where is your SLA?

As a general guideline, don’t rely on Mikrotik IP Cloud (xxxx.sn.mynetname.net) for mission-critical operations.

I went back to fixed IP addresses and everything is fine with mehttps://claspo.io/blog/what-is-a-lead-magnet-and-how-to-create-one-that-drives-conversions/

In fact: I would never rely on a service whose name I could “lose” if it breaks down or if I change the device…

mynetname was not affected by crowd strike outage. Time for a big thank you Mikrotik for not using snake oil. :joy:
