same situation

Did you mean it is NOT working? My DNS is google 8.8.8.8 and I cannot ping any mynetname address.
See http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/is-there-a-problem-with-ip-cloud/143387/1

Same… unable to resolve xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.sn.mynetname.net
hope this get resolved soon.

MBP:~ $ nslookup -q=NS mynetname.net 8.8.8.8
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address:	8.8.8.8#53

** server can't find mynetname.net: NXDOMAIN

The domain mynetname.net expire on 2022-04-29T08:21:38Z
Simply mikrotik forgot to pay the $35 annual fee to publicdomainregistry.com

Stop speculating and writing idiocy and wait for the service to restore.

Thats almost funny but with so many people depending upon mynetname.net one would think that they would have a backup.
Oh well its a free service perhaps the motto should be, use your own paid DNS service and only use the MT cloud as a backup.

You can’t even imagine the mass of … that only relies on 8.8.8.8 as DNS,
check it for see if own network is online, check for dual wan failover ( ) and whatnot…

Sooner or later there will be a 8.8.8.8 disservice, why not on purpose, even of only 5 minutes, and the world will see more than half the network stop working…
With the devices rebooting constantly, the DNS are no longer resolved by anyone, etcetera, etcetera, etc …

I hope MikroTik fixes this. My heart sunk when I was unable to connect to a few customers sites where i rely on their DDNS service..

I was also using it for other DDNS aspects – was another nice feature add for MikroTik products… tisk tisk if they yank it from us.

Does anybody have an ETA regarding this?

I think that more is going on rather than that the ddns service is down. I see a new massive brute force login attack on my MicroTek router. Never seen that before. I think hackers got hold of the ddns list and is walking over all routers in the entire world on that list. They try to hack every router with all sorts of password and login name combinations. This attack is going on right now.

what happend with ddns? Does anyone have information. MikroTik???

issue is being resolved at registrar level, we are doing everything we can to make them go faster

Same situation, I can not touch all of my VPN…

Hello, Same problem here in argentina, I can’t access any of my routers (about 50 of them) i can add that dns so i can access the routers but that won’t help my customers that try to connect to their offices :frowning:
I have a failover with dyndns (now oracle crap) but the dyndns mikrotik script no longer works because oracle changed something, i don’t know what, so that is not working either (i just figured that out hehe)

domain propagation takes time, hope get resolved today.
it happened to me once or twice, and to whom said that you get tons of emails, you don’t, sometimes they go straight to spam and you’ll never see them again.

Hello,
f you are using a MikroTik device as DNS, here is a quick fix for http://mynetname.net cloud services:
https://t.co/rq80TtMY6W?amp=1

Why use 3rd party link to link what already is on forum?

http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/ip-cloud-broken-domain-mynetname-net-expired-and-disabled/151643/31

from @jensmalmgren

I think you are on right drirection…

Is clear than all serialnumber.sn.mynetworkname.net are all mikrotik devices…
With milion unupdated device with dozen of version hackerable… is easy…

The faster way to block the mass dictionary/bruteforce attack is to stop from working mynetname.net,
But a solution for continue this attack are alreadu provided, using the right nameservers…
