N Spatial versus Polar Diversity

Any one test spatial diversity on N links versus Polar diversity ?

If so; What were the results?

Can you clairify exactly what your asking.

Vertical and Vertical = Your going probably have less bandwidth but more redundancy. Horizontal and Vertical your going to have a little redundancy and lots of bandwidth. If you want I can explain in detail.

can you explain more in detail please

If you want I can find technical details from details I found on the internet. Thats at home, I am at work. But, here is some of what I learned which will make more understanding.

With dual vertical antennas. You would use a single stream or mcs 0-7 to benefit the redundancy of diversity. So you can shoot better around trees and remove the problems that wireless suffers like signal fade and shadowing. Like blank wireless spots where you had signal and now its gone.

With dual polarity(V and H antennas). You use msc 8-15 which you have a little diversity but not much. You mainly benefit from the dual streams of bandwidth. Your would be talking up to 200mbps actual throughput. Maybe more. Depending on the setup.

Does this help you with your understanding or decision to choose? Please send karma if this helped.

I recently just installed a link to 45km with which it had problems was very high gain 85dB, was using dual polarity and there was no link to that gain. My solution was to use two antennas at the same polarity and the gain rose by 10 to 15dB being between 70 and 64dB.
sacrificing the bandwidth but more powerful don achieved using the same poaridad
