n00b - need to create DHCP server

Hey Guys,
Excuse my inept intelligence.
I have a RBwAP2nD-BE on a standalone LAN. There is about 30x devices all set to static. 192.168.242.0-250.
With the RBwAP2nD I have set it to the same subnet as the static range and is WISP AP, Configuration Mode: Bridge, bridge static mode in Quick Set, and it wired directly to PoE switch and it allows me WAP access to LAN - GREAT! But I have to set my laptop IP address to static everytime!!
I havent been able to figure out how to create a DHCP server for this; ie serve DHCP for 192.168.242.70-80 so that I can connect through WAP to my laptop without needing to set static IP.
There is no gateway/router for this LAN.
I have tried adding a DHCP server under IP->DHCP Server on the wlan1 interface but when I connect to LAN with laptop set to DHCP it won;t get an address.
I did a quick search of this forum but nothing jumped out simply explaining how to do the above.
TIA - Jas

Instead of adding the DHCP server manually, use the helpful “DHCP Setup” button, it will take you through it step by step.

Hey Sob,
Thanks for the response, I think I managed to get it to work by going to the menu IP->DHCP Server and adding a server on the bridge1 interface.
