What would be the best naming pattern for network devices? I am having issues with my forrest of stuff. Homer, Marge and such are OK for a server or two, but not very useful for large LAN.
Thanks!

You don’t have to get too creative. : - )
Or, if you insist on Simpsons, something like
Homer1
Homer2
Marge1
Marge2
Marge3
Bart1
Bart2
Homers are routers/firewalls, Barts are wifi APs and Marges are switches. In case one device performs multiple functions, you can either name it according to most important function or invent different name for function mix (e.g. homarge1 for router/switch or barge1 for AP/switch or hobart1 for router/AP or …).
Best naming convention in a business. Don’t want to confuse others that has to work on that network as well.
