Nano-ITX?

Just wondering if anyone here has tried to use any VIA Nano-ITX boards for outdoor backhauls/AP’s/Routers? They have alot more power than a Routerboard, but they are only rated to 0 degrees. I ordered a couple, but I just wanted to get some feedback if anyone has tried these already.

Thanks

Hi eclipse,

two years ago we did project where we used mini-itx for kiosk systems. We did not mind below zero temperatures, the board can heat its box, if isolated. I have never tried nano-itx though, but as for mini-itx, it was VERY sensitive to memory used, otherwise pretty unstable.

However - while mini/nano-itx is of course more powerfull, how will you solve your radio part? It just got one mini-pci connector, no?

I haven’t tried nano-itx either, but as far the mini-itx comments - as long as you pick some decent memory (I think I used a Kingston ValueRAM stick) the system is pretty stable. I haven’t had one problem with my 1GHz (Nehemiah) mini-itx development server.
